The Villa project brief was to design a kitchen space that reflected the size of the house. The current kitchen was only a small percentage of the overall footprint, so with careful planning of the interior space we extended the kitchen area by pushing back the internal load-bearing wall and integrating the exposed structural beam into the interior design. The kitchen aspect was rotated so the view was towards the large french doors and landscaped gardens.

The space was not large enough to incorporate an open plan dining area, but it was important to the client that the existing dining table be incorporated into the design. With careful planning The Creative Group presented a design which utilised every mm of space including under the stairwell, which has been carefully concealed within the joinery and pantry design. The dining table placement allows for flexibility and can be pulled out to accommodate 8-10 seats.

The Creative Group selected the flooring, artwork, rug, finishes and hardware and with styling suggestions achieved a bright yet homely space for this family. The design of the kitchen is contemporary while being sympathetic to the grand old villa home.
