Engaged by the reputable catering company, The Inspired Pantry, who had outgrown their existing catering facilities, The Creative Groups brief was to design a commercial catering kitchen, café and versatile function space within the newly refurbished, Vogel St building, in Dunedin’s emerging warehouse district.

Existing brickwork was left exposed for the warmth, texture and contrast it brought to the interior. Floating timber shelving provided the perfect solution to display the range of packaged produce against this stunning backdrop . Polished concrete floors and internal glass walls gave the small footprint a sense of volume and encouraged interaction between the spaces, patrons and staff. Custom made circular lights contrasted against the black timber ceilings and wallpaper introduced subtle textures blurring the lines between old and new.

The outcome was a striking space with a sense of style and sophistication which beautifully showcases the quality food and beverage offering.
